Splurge on J.Crew’s Italian-made pumps…

J.Crew might be on my top five favorite brands to shop. Not only are they wonderful at creating clothes that people can actually buy, but their quintessential refined version of American Sportswear style is just very up to date to the lifestyle of young-fun-professional women. Sequined looks never looked so great as in J.Crew’s NYFW presentations, or better, in the body of the brand’s president and creative director, Jenna Lyons. Yes, Lyons is the ultimate personification of the J.Crew style.

So, while I melt and drool every time I enter one of their flagship stores, it’s great to see products that one can wear from day-to-night, weekends to cocktail hours, all made by longtime craftsmen. For instance, the shoes are all crafted in Pisa, a small Italian town (yep, they say half the people in town might work at the factory). You’ll know you’re, at least, buying a lasting shoe when you get the fashionable gold leather stiletto, or the glittery chunky -flower print pump from the spring 2013 collection. And, needless to say, I love when the focus of the video campaigns relies on the  way the products are designed and manufactured – all within the great eye of Lyons.

With collaborations with Stubbs & Wootton® and Sperry Top-Sider®, J.Crew’s shoes are the classics that add the sparkle, wit and fun to any great jeans & white tee look.

Take a look!
